Just wanted to drop a little line to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. This appreciation is for the generosity of Garrigal Housing for giving me the opportunity to obtain a Diploma of Community Services in Case Management etc. I completed this year this amazing course which has now equipped me with some amazing knowledge that I' have also taken over and used in my own family dynamics as well has equipping others with the knowledge of breaking out of a crisis. I also achieved the DUX of the college giving me the overall Principles Award for my efforts in Catching up Term 1 and staying focused through the year when family matters arose. I was and am so overwhelmed at this amazing award however once again, none of this would have been achieved if Garrigal had not sponsored me to attend. Thank you Thank you Garrigal Lots a love |

The third was to a mother of 4 to undertake a Diploma of Community Service.
The total value of the scholarship will be $6,275 when each of the students successfully complete their respective studies.
One tenant recently wrote, “Well I'm up to term 3 of college and I absolutely can not believe how quick the time has gone. I have to tell you though that I absolutely am loving the course and am gaining a huge amount of knowledge that has even been helping in my own walk of life. I have received thus far all assignments from term 1 and am very pleased to inform you that all topics were a pass as competent.”
The program is continuing this year and tenants can make an application at any time. Just remember, it must be for vocational training which either help you to get a job or improve your current employment situation. (Conditions apply)

Daniel Price was selected as the Garrigal Housing finalist in this year's awards in the Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour. He was nominated in the Chosen Career category by his neighbours, Max & Verna Cunliffe. Jack Murphy C.E.O. accompanied them and Daniel with his Mother to the Presentation Awards. There were thirty three finalists in six categories. Eight young people were selected as winners. Neysa Burns of Flinders won the Chosen Career Category. It was a fantastic achievement for Daniel to make it to the finals and he felt proud to receive his Finalist Certificate of Recognition Achievement Award. Congratulations Daniel! Daniel's story is an inspiration to others, showing how, no matter what your background or circumstances are there is always hope if you only dare to dream and put in the hard work to turn that dream into a reality. Full details in our next newsletter. Daniel with NSW Governor Professor Marie Bashir |
